What to Expect from Seedhe Maut’s New Album 2025: DL91 FM, Desi Hip-hop, KR$NA Collab & More

By now, we are all familiar with Seedhe Maut and their fierce bars. From genre-bending bangers in Bayaan to introspective flows in Nayaab and Lunch break, they have made a special name for themselves in the DHH community.

With the release of their 30-track mixtape DL91 featuring artists like Hurricane, Bhaskar, Lil Bhavi, OG Lucifer, GHAatak, and AB17, they are continuing to grow. And here is what I expect of them for the remainder of this year.

The Evolution of Seedhe Maut: From Bayaan to DL91

Seedhe Maut first entered the scene in 2018 with some hard-hitting bars, performing small gigs around Hauz Khas and participating in underground rap events like Spit Dope and Cypheres. Their album, Na, in 2021 was another banger where they dived into deep lyricism and established themselves not only as rappers but as poets.

Furthermore, Nayaab in 2022 showcased their refined flows and wider audience appeal. By the time Lunch break dropped in 2023, they had made a firm place for themselves in the hearts of alot of fans and were front runners in underground hip-hop. This eventually led them to create DL91 this year, which is full of experimental flows and funky beats.

DL91 FM Mixtape: Community, Beats & Breakthrough

Released on May 15, 2025, DL91 FM is more than just a mixtape; it’s a declaration of being in the game for a long time. It boasts 30 different tracks and features multiple artists like  Hurricane, Bhaskar, Lil Bhavi, OG Lucifer, GHAatak, and AB17.

Each track feels like a radio segment from Delhi’s streets, capturing the voices of artists that often go unheard in mainstream Indian music. The best part about this mixtape is that it isn’t just about Seedhe Maut, it’s about pushing the Indian rap scene and giving a push to somewhat underrated artists.

The Desi Hip-hop Sound Shapeshift

DL91 abandons traditional boom beats for a sound and fuses rap with experimental rock and glitchy textures. The album is produced by Hurricane, who went instrumental this time around, crafting unpredictable yet addictive beats. We see many songs changing tones midway without losing their identity, which is a risky move, but it makes the mixtape more authentic.

Fan Buzz & Insights from Reddit

Fans on Reddit are calling DL91 a “game-changer.” Comments praise the label’s commitment to diversity. Posts shout out specific verses from Lil Bhavi and production by OG Lucifer, while some predict Calm will release a solo tape.

Overall, not everyone is happy with the DL91. A portion of the community has expressed skepticism about DL91’s experimental direction, but on average, the consensus leans in favour of their latest album, leaving everyone to wait for the next big project Seedhe Maut will take on.

What to Expect in the Upcoming Album

While all of us want it to manifest into reality, the return of the duo’s Kavi kehna Chahte hai album is a far-fetched idea, thanks to the SOS’s disstrack that was given the same name, so that whenever that album is searched for, the disstrack pops up.

But if it ever sees the light of day, we expect it would feature artists like Rawal, KR$NA, Bharg, and Raftaar. This is just a speculation based on vibes alone. Whoever it may feature we are quite certain of the fact that it would include more introspective verses and witty lines. Apart from the usual KR$NA collab, we can also see some collabs with DL91 signees.
